Play Good Jeans
By Neil Dover
Well the whiskey don’t affect me like it used to
And its been gettin’ harder to forget you
And that sad sack in the mirror
Kept on gettin’ clearer
Till he finally showed me something I could do
So I got old cowboy boots on these feet that just won’t leave
I got a beat up hat on this head that doesn’t think
I should keep on wearing’ this ring cause your gone
But I got good jeans on this ole pile of bones
Let’s get a little country on these jeans boys
Yeah you see all these years I kept myself in shape
Well I don’t see the difference that it made
Cause you still broke my heart and
Poured my liver down my brain
And there’s not much left that I could rearrange
But I got old cowboy boots on these feet that just won’t leave
I got a beat up hat on this head that doesn’t think
I should keep on wearing’ this ring cause your gone
But I got good jeans on this ole pile of bones
Throw in church music now
It takes more than a cheap pair to prop me up
You won’t find me in no thrift store junk
Sure am glad you left your wedding ring
Cause I hocked it and spent it all on these here jeans
I got old cowboy boots on these feet that just won’t leave
I got a beat up hat on this head that doesn’t think
I should keep on wearin’ this ring cause your gone
But I got good jeans on this ole pile of bones
Yeah I got good jeans on this ole pile of bones……Yeah
